Bird Watching In Corbett Tiger Reserve

Corbett Tiger Reserve is one of the few bird-watching places in Asia, which is home to more than 600 species of birds( resident and migratory), this tiger reserve has big grasslands, lush green forests, rivers, and hills which makes it a perfect and ideal place for birdwatching. Per year thousands of birdwatchers come to Corbett tiger reserve to see the birds, this is one of the few areas which has been declared as IBA( Important Bird Area) by the government of India. Some of the rear species of birds tourists get in this park easily which includes Darter, Little Green Gerin, Himalayan Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, Cinereous Vulture, Crested Serpent Eagle, Kestrel, Black Partridge, Khaleej Pheasant, Red Junglefowl, Common Peafowl, Red-wattled Lapwing, Spur Winged Lapwing, Pintailed Green Pigeon, Blue Rock Pigeon, Turtle Dove, Rufous Turtle Dove, Indian Ring Dove, Spotted Dove, Emerald Dove, Alexandrine Parakeet, Rose-ringed Parakeet, blossom headed Parakeet, Common Hawk, Himalayan Pied Kingfisher, Lesser Pied Kingfisher, Common Kingfisher, Stork-billed Kingfisher, White-breasted Kingfisher, Chestnut-headed Bee Eater, Blue-tailed Bee Eater, Booted Hawk Eagle, Pallas Fishing Eagle, Green Bee Eater, Indian Roller, Broad-billed Roller, Hoopoe, etc.
